    Description

    This vintage tie bar is signed "TY WOOD Pat. Pend 14 kt G.P" (for gold plate).  I thought that the base could be bakelite but it did not test positive.  I am calling it butterscotch colored lucite with a tiger stripe effect on the top layer.    The 5/8" gold tone figure is a horse and jockey.  The bar measures 2 3/4" long by 1/2" wide by 1/4" thick.  The vintage condition is excellent.
