Mitchell's Models and Easy Lessons in Locomotive Running
Lesson #7
Mitchell's Models and Easy Lessons in Locomotive Running comprised a series of lessons of the International Correspondence Schools of Scranton, PA in how to run a Steam Locomotive for a railroad, dating from 1901.  Each lesson was about a different part of the engine.  The pages are on heavy stock, and measure 10" x 12".  Some of the lessons have fold-out pages and movable parts.  The pages had grommets, and could be held together with string.  They have both black and white and color plates of engineering diagrams - fully labeled.  They include copious descriptions, and end with a page of questions (it is a lesson, after all) so that you could test yourself.  I will be putting a series of the lessons up over the next few days.  (I do not have the full set.)  They are really spectacular!
This is Lesson #7 - about the Westinghouse No. 6 Distributing Valve E T Locomotive Brake Equipment.  It contains 44 pages of heavy stock paper.  Copiously illustrated, there are cut-away diagrams locomotive part.  Most of the pages have full color illustrations, the others, black and white.  After studying this, you'll be all set to work that valve!
Good condition.  Appears to be all there, but some pages have come off the string holding them together.  Some edges are rough.
If you purchase more than one of these lessons, please wait for an invoice from me, so that they are all paid for and shipped together.
Item will be mailed by media mail in a plastic sleeve with rigid backing. If you would like any other shipping options, you need to contact me before paying for the item.   Payment includes required ebay tracking; and unfortunately I've had to raise my recent item prices a bit to accommodate the required tracking expense.   If you wish other postal services, you need to let me know before paying for the item.   In general, I have found the post office to be excellent.  But every once in a while items seem to take the long route to a customer's home.
I will always combine shipping, if I can, for items purchased at the same time.  If you have purchased multiple lots, please wait for my corrected invoice before paying.
The international postage shown is for Europe - please inquire if you live in Australia, the Far East, or Africa.  Rates may be higher, especially if this is a heavier item.  If the international postage rate turns out to be much higher than I need, I will return the excess via PayPal.
