This is a vintage original 1943 catalog type brochure on Road Testing Freight Car Trucks issued by the Service Laboratory of the American Steel Foundries of Chicago, Illinois.   This catalog is 32 pages plus the covers measuring about 8.5” x 11”.  This catalog provides lots of photos and detailed information on testing railroad cars of the ASF Service Laboratory.   The catalog reads in part:
The two cars which comprise the A.S.F. “Service Laboratory” are designed and equipped to provide accurate and completely detailed observations and records of freight car truck performance, in operation at speeds up to 95 miles per hour, or over.
This catalog has a 1943 copyright and is fully complete and intact with just light handling wear and some toning from age.  Overall condition is very good.  Email any questions.  Thanks for looking.
